Repower Specialists Ltd is a family-owned American company founded in 1988 and trusted by customers across the United States and Canada for engine replacements and repower solutions. We specialize in applications where original engines have failed, are discontinued, or are no longer practical to repair.
What does Repower Specialists do?
We specialize in engine repower solutions, including:

What equipment do you support?
We commonly help with lawn mowers, yard tractors, skid steers, industrial equipment, agricultural equipment, and specialty or legacy machines. If your equipment has a discontinued or failing engine, there is a good chance we can help. Our team of experienced technicians works closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide customized solutions so they can keep their equipment running smoothly and efficiently for the long term.
Do you offer engine upgrades or only direct replacements?
Repower provides excellent pricing on direct replacement engines or HP upgrade options for currently available engines. Our team evaluates each setup to recommend the best option based on compatibility and use.
Do you help with discontinued engines?
Yes. Discontinued engines are one of the most common reasons customers contact us. Our repower kits are often designed specifically to replace engines that are no longer supported.
Where are your kits designed?
Each Repower Specialists repower kit is designed by experienced technicians in Eugene, Oregon, with a focus on proper fitment, compatibility, and long-term reliability. With over 35 years in business, our team has developed thousands of repower solutions across a wide range of equipment and applications.
What if you don’t have a kit for my machine?
No problem! For Commercial-grade engines that do not have a standard replacement option, we offer the Repower Specialists Custom Kit Program to develop a solution tailored to your equipment. We will pair you with a design expert who will walk you through the process. Depending on complexity and parts availability, development may take as little as 24-72 hours.
There is no risk to you. If additional components are required, they are provided at no additional cost. If a Repower Technician determines the solution flat out doesn’t work, we take it back free of charge.
And, of course, all custom-developed solutions include unlimited technical support throughout the installation process.

How do I get started with a repower?

What information should I provide before submitting a repower request?
All or as much as you have of the following is helpful to include:
· Original engine make and model
· Equipment make and model
· Horsepower requirements
· Fuel type
· Photos of the engine bay
· Any known clearance or mounting concerns
Can you help if I don’t know my engine model?
Yes. Many customers come to us with incomplete information. Serial numbers, photos, or equipment details can often help us identify what will work.
How long does it take to receive a recommendation?
Response time depends on the complexity of the request and the information provided. In most cases we try to have a solution by end of day.
Installation & Technical Support
Are Repower Kits Bolt-In Installatons?
Many kits are designed to be as close to bolt in as possible, but every repower is different. Some installations may require light fabrication or wiring integration. We will provide information on necessary modifications during your call with a Repower Specialists team member.
Can I install a repower kit myself?
Most of our kits are designed with the do-it-yourself customer in mind. Many buyers install them on their own, but if you prefer peace of mind or lack the tools, a local mechanic or equipment shop can quickly take care of the installation.
Do repower kits include installation instructions and wiring diagrams?
All our kits come with step-by-step instructions and a wiring diagram. We also offer unlimited technical support (hyperlink to tech support page) for our commercial grade kits, if you need assistance.
Do you offer technical support?
Commercial-grade repower kits include unlimited technical support, giving customers direct access to experienced technicians throughout the installation and setup process. This support is intended to help ensure the repower solution functions as intended and to provide guidance from start to finish.
If you purchase a consumer-grade kit and want technical assistance, support is available for a small additional fee. Contact your Repower sales specialist for details.

Kit Guarantee, Returns & Policies
What is the Repower Specialists Kit Guarantee?
The Repower Specialists Kit Guarantee is an industry-leading, exclusive program for our commercial-grade repower kits, built on proven design standards, deep technical expertise, and unlimited technical support.
If a commercial-grade repower kit does not function as intended and our technical team is unable to provide a working solution, the product may be returned at no cost to the customer. This is a performance-based guarantee, not a standard return policy, and applies when the kit has been installed as instructed and used for its intended application.
For consumer-grade products, installation requirements and kit guarantee details are provided based on the specific product and application.

What is your return policy?
If a product does not work, and a Repower Specialists Ltd. Technician is not able to provide a functional solution, we take back the product FREE of charge to our customers under the Repower Specialists Kit Guarantee.
Returns outside of the Repower Specialists Kit Guarantee are accepted on new, unused kits within 30 days of purchase and may be subject to a restocking fee. Full terms and conditions are outlined on the Return Policy page.
Do you sell engines without a repower kit?

Do you sell repower kits without engines?
We do not sell our kit or kit parts separately from our engines.
Do you offer financing?
We do not offer financing; however, availability may change overtime as we explore secure and fair payment solutions.
